Women’s Volleyball Falls Twice on Saturday

RADNOR, Pa. - Oct. 20, 2018 - The Keystone College women's volleyball team fell twice on Saturday, dropping a 3-0 decision to Marymount before falling to host Cabrini 3-0 in non-conference action.

The Giants are now 9-15 (5-1 CSAC) and head to Centenary on Wednesday, Oct. 24 at 7 pm before hosting Rosemont in the CSAC regular season finale on Senior Day on Saturday, Oct. 27 at 1 pm. Marymount improves to 22-4 while Cabrini moves to 20-8.

Keystone has earned a spot in the upcoming CSAC playoffs, with seeding still to be determined.

Marymount 3, Keystone 0 (11-25, 16-25, 16-25)

Senior Kristen Larkin (Williamstown, N.J./Williamstown) led the attack with five kills while senior Victoria Homfeld (Smithtown, N.Y./Hauppauge) chipped in four kills and 12 digs.

Senior Taylor Beatty (Virginia Beach, Va./Ocean Lakes) ended with three kills and six digs and junior Pamela Heitman (Cortlandt Manor, N.Y./Walter Panas) paced the back line with 10 digs. Junior Amanda Hardy (Tunkhannock, Pa./Tunkhannock Area) dished out 14 helpers while adding seven digs and three aces.

Cabrini 3, Keystone 0 (16-25, 19-25, 18-25)

Against the Cavaliers, Homfeld led the attack with eight kills to go along with seven digs. Sophomore Erika Schwoyer (Bethlehem, Pa./Freedom) tallied five kills while Beatty provided four kills, nine digs, two blocks and two assists.

Hardy paced the offense with a match-high 19 assists and Heitman led the defense with 12 digs.
