Women’s Volleyball Splits in Thursday Tri-Match

La PLUME, Pa. - Oct. 4, 2018 - The Keystone College women's volleyball team earned a 3-0 win over Clarks Summit in CSAC action before dropping a 3-1 decision to Misericordia in a tri-match on Thursday evening.

The Giants are now 6-10 (2-0 CSAC) and will host Notre Dame (Md.) on Saturday, Oct. 6 at 1 pm in CSAC play. Clarks Summit drops to 3-15 (0-3 CSAC) while Misericordia improves to 15-8.

Keystone 3, Clarks Summit 0 (25-19, 25-17, 25-16)

Senior Taylor Beatty (Virginia Beach, Va./Ocean Lakes) led the attack with 11 kills while senior Kristen Larkin (Williamstown, N.J./Williamstown) and sophomore Erika Schwoyer (Bethlehem, Pa./Freedom) both hit over .400 with nine kills each. Larkin also chipped in with seven digs and three aces.

Senior Victoria Homfeld (Smithtown, N.Y./Hauppauge) contributed six kills and eight digs while junior Amanda Hardy (Tunkhannock, Pa./Tunkhannock Area) registered 24 assists, eight digs, five kills and two solo blocks.

Junior Pamela Heitman (Cortlandt Manor, N.Y./Walter Panas) led the back row with 18 digs while junior Natalie Daley (North East, Md./North East) tallied three kills. Freshman Madi Aston (Allentown, Pa./Parkland) chipped in with eight assists and and three aces and freshman Erin Kibelstis (Williamstown, N.J./Williamstown) tallied six digs.

Misericordia 3, Keystone 1 (25-19, 22-25, 9-25, 23-25)

Both Homfeld and Daley floored nine kills while Larkin and Beatty followed with eight and six kills, respectively. Hardy dished out 24 assists to go along with five kills and two aces.

Heitman registered 23 digs and Homfeld contributed 10 digs on the back row. Aston dished out nine helpers and Kibelstis tallied three service aces against the Cougars.
