Lupinacci Scores in 1-1 2OT Draw With Ursinus

La PLUME, Pa. - Oct. 9, 2019 - Junior Andrew Lupinacci (Stratford, N.J./Sterling) tallied the equalizer in the 89th minute as the Keystone College men's soccer team battled Ursinus to a 1-1 double-overtime draw on Tuesday night.

The Giants (7-3-1) host Centenary (N.J.) on Saturday, Oct. 13 at 1 pm for Homecoming & Senior Day. Keystone & Centenary faced each other in the 2017 CSAC Semifinals last year, with the Giants prevailing 3-1. The Bears move to 0-9-3.

Six seniors will be honored in a pre-game ceremony: Kouassi Kouadio (Mount Pocono, Pa./Pocono Mountain East), Chiemeka Okoro (Ewing, N.J./Ewing), Elmer Ramos (Kissimmee, Fla./Lakenheath American), Omar Arrieta (Warwick, N.Y./Warwick Valley), Manuel Calvache (East Windsor, N.J./Highstown) & Jordan Vance (Manalapan, N.J./Manalapan).

Following a scoreless first half, Ursinus broke through in the 62nd minute to claim a 1-0 lead, before Lupinacci netted the tying goal in the waning minutes of regulation.

For the match, the Giants outshot Ursinus 14-10. Freshman Marcelo Polar (Lima, Peru/Sarasota Military Academy) made three saves in the draw.
