BALTIMORE, Md. – Nov. 2, 2018 - The 2018 Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) volleyball championship is set for Saturday as top-seeded Notre Dame of Maryland University plays host to second-seeded Keystone College.
First serve is set for 5 p.m. at the MBK Complex, with the winner advancing to the NCAA Tournament, via the CSAC's automatic bid.
The Gators, advancing to their first CSAC title match, comes into the contest with a 24-4 mark overall and a perfect 8-0 record in the CSAC. They are led by CSAC Player of the Year Sarah Sweet who averages 3.55 kills per set, and is hitting .215 on the year. She also has 42 services aces.
Keystone, making its second appearance in the CSAC title match in the last three years, is led by
Victoria Homfeld (Smithtown, N.Y./Hauppauge) who has 2.34 kills per set.
In their only meeting this season, Notre Dame won by a score of 3-0 back on October 6. Set scores were 25-20, 25-14 and 25-15. In that meeting, Sarah Sweet had 13 kills while
Victoria Homfeld (Smithtown, N.Y./Hauppauge) had seven kills
and 16 digs.
