Homfeld Reaches 1,000 Digs in 3-1 Win over PSU Berks

La PLUME, Pa. - Sept. 25, 2018 - Senior Victoria Homfeld (Smithtown, N.Y./Hauppauge) surpassed 1,000 digs for her career on Tuesday night as the Keystone College women's volleyball team won its home opener over visiting PSU Berks 3-1.

With the win, the Giants improve to 4-8 on the year and will head to Montclair State on Thursday, Sept. 27 at 7 pm followed by a road CSAC match at Wilson on Saturday, Sept. 29 at 3:30 pm. The Lions fall to 5-11 on the season.

Homfeld becomes the fourth player in program history to achieve milestone and now has 1,011 digs. The senior tallied 14 digs on the night, entering the match with 997. Homfeld also led the Giants with a match-high 14 kills for the double-double.

Senior Kristen Larkin (Williamstown, N.J./Williamstown) followed with 11 kills and nine digs while senior Taylor Beatty (Virginia Beach, Va./Ocean Lakes) chipped in with nine kills and seven digs. Junior Pamela Heitman (Cortlandt Manor, N.Y./Walter Panas) led the defense with a match-high 36 digs - the third most in a four-set match in program history.

Junior Amanda Hardy (Tunkhannock, Pa./Tunkhannock Area) turned in a solid match with 27 assists, seven kills and six digs. Freshman Madi Aston (Allentown, Pa./Parkland) contributed 11 assists, four digs and three aces while freshman Erin Kiblestis provided nine digs and three aces.
