Field Hockey Drops Home Opener 3-0 to Wilkes



La PLUME, Pa. - Sept. 5, 2018 - The Keystone College field hockey team fell 3-0 to visiting Wilkes in the 2018 home opener on Wednesday afternoon.

The Giants (0-2) remain at home to host McDaniel at 2 pm on Sunday, Sept. 9. The Green Terror is coached by former Keystone student-athlete Kellina Yarrish '13.

Both teams had to take several water breaks throughout the game, battling excessive heat temperatures on the turf.

The Lady Colonels scored less than five minutes into the game and scored twice in the second half.

Junior netminder Megan Novak (Wilkes-Barre, Pa./Coughlin) made 12 stops in the cage. Offensively, the Giants totaled eight shots, three coming off the stick of senior Kayla Bain (Lancaster, Pa./J.P. McCaskey).
