Women’s Volleyball Splits on Saturday in Rowan Tournament

GLASSBORO, N.J. - Sept. 8, 2018 - The Keystone College women's volleyball team split on Saturday in the Profs Invite hosted by Rowan, as the Giants fell to Widener in straight sets to start the day, before knocking off Curry 3-1.

The Giants (2-6) will head to Marywood on Wednesday, Sept. 12 at 7 pm and travel to Farmingdale State for a tri-match with William Paterson on Saturday, Sept. 15.

Widener 3, Keystone 0 (13-25, 16-25, 11-25)

Junior Amanda Hardy (Tunkhannock, Pa./Tunkhannock Area) totaled six kills, five assists and two digs against the Pride (6-2) while senior Kristen Larkin (Williamstown, N.J./Williamstown) and sophomore Erika Schwoyer (Bethlehem, Pa./Freedom) both floored three kills each.

Freshman Madi Aston (Allentown, Pa./Parkland) distributed five helpers and enjoyed two aces and five digs. Junior Pamela Heitman (Cortlandt Manor, N.Y./Walter Panas) registered a team-high 16 digs.

Keystone 3, Curry 1 (25-21, 25-10, 23-25, 27-25)

Hardy exploded for a huge match against the Colonels, flooring a match-high 17 kills (.308) to go along with 23 assists (tied for the team lead), for the double-double. The junior also contributed five digs, two blocks and one ace.

Schwoyer notched 12 kills (.375) and was a force on the net with five total blocks. Larkin registered nine kills, five aces and 13 digs.

Junior Natalie Daley (North East, Md./North East) totaled eight kills and eight digs while Aston dished out 23 assists to go along with three service aces. Freshman Erin Kibelstis (Williamstown, N.J./Williamstown) recorded five aces and senior Taylor Beatty (Virginia Beach, Va./Ocean Lakes) chipped in with 11 digs.
