Myers & Richner Score in 5-2 Loss at Neumann

ASTON, Pa. - The Keystone College women's soccer team fell 5-2 at host Neumann University on Tuesday night in the final non-conference match of 2019.
  • With the loss, the Giants fall to 1-7-0 and will head to Centenary in CSAC action on Saturday, Oct. 5 at 1 p.m.
  • The Knights improve to 4-6-1.
  • Junior Alex Myers (Holton, Kan./Holton) scored on a breakway in the 43rd minute to make the contest 3-1 in favor of Neumann.
  • Senior Hayden Richner (Nicholson, Pa./Mountain View) followed with a goal in the 57th minute, off a free kick outside the 18.
  • Myers finished with two shots on goal while Richner, senior Jordyn Olsen (Southampton, N.J./Seneca) & junior Faith Shiffer (Pine Grove, Pa./Pine Grove) all tallied one shot each.
  • Senior Rebekah Shepherd (South Canaan, Pa./Western Wayne) made 12 saves, playing the final 70:33. Freshman Samantha Caputo (Scott Township, Pa./Lakeland) made one save in the start.
