Cockrell Scores 35 in Giants’ 92-81 Loss to Oswego State

ELMIRA, N.Y. - The Keystone College men's basketball team fell 92-81 to Oswego State in the Elmira College Tip-Off Tournament Championship on Saturday.
  • The Giants are now 1-1 and will head to Lehman College on Wednesday, Nov. 20 at 7 p.m.
  • The Lakers improve to 2-0.
  • Junior Tone Cockrell (Upper Marlboro, Md./Landon School) led all players with a career-high 35 points, going 11-of-21 from the field and 12-of-14 from the foul line. Cockrell chipped in 5 boards & 3 assists.
  • Cockrell's previous career best was 21 points against Hunter on Nov. 17, 2018, when he was a member of the Marywood Pacers.
  • Freshman Marcus Bauman (Scranton, Pa./Scranton) tallied 17 points behind 5-of-8 shooting, going 3-of-3 from deep.
  • Cockrell & Bauman were both named to the All-Tournament Team.
  • Junior Jeremy Jordan (Portsmouth, Va./I.C. Norcom) enjoyed 14 points, shooting 5-of-5 from the charity stripe.
  • Keystone shot 82.1 percent from the foul line (23-of-28) and 45.6 percent from the field (26-of-57).
  • For the Lakers, 5 players finished in double figures as Liam Sanborn tallied 18 points.
