Field Hockey Advances to CSAC Final with 9-0 Shutout Over Centenary



La PLUME, Pa –
The Keystone College field hockey team enjoyed a 9-0 blanking of visiting Centenary University in the CSAC Semifinals on Wednesday.
  • Keystone improves to 12-7 & will host the CSAC Championship for the 2nd straight year.
  • The Giants will host Wilson College on Saturday, Nov. 9 at 1 p.m. in a rematch of the 2018 title game.
  • Wilson knocked off Cedar Crest 4-3 in the other semifinal matchup on Wednesday.
  • Keystone defeated Wilson 2-1 in OT at home back on Oct. 5.
  • Centenary ends the year at 6-10.
  • Keystone scored 5 goals in the 2nd quarter.
  • Senior Savanna Robinson (Laflin, Pa./Coughlin) – the 2019 CSAC Player of the Year -  notched 3 goals & 2 assists.
  • Junior Jackie Martin (Honesdale, Pa./Honesdale) tallied 3 assists.
  • Senior April Llewellyn (Plains, Pa./Coughlin) registered 1 goal & 1 assist.
  • Sophomore Julia Blahut (Pompton Plains, N.J./Pequannock), freshman Miranda Mascia (Blakeslee, Pa./Pocono Mountain West) & junior Alex Williams (Elkton, Md./The Tome School) all enjoyed 1 goal.
  • Freshman Shannon Green (Tunkhannock, Pa./Tunkhannock Area) notched 1 assist.
  • The Giants outshot the Cyclones 32-2 on the night.
