Men’s Hoops Drops 101-79 Decision at West Conn

DANBURY, Conn. - The Keystone College men's basketball team fell 101-79 at Western Connecticut State on Saturday afternoon in non-conference action.
  • With the defeat, the Giants drop to 4-6 and will be off until hosting Rosemont College in CSAC play on Saturday, Jan. 4 at 3 p.m.
  • The Colonials improve to 7-3.
  • Juniors Tone Cockrell (Upper Marlboro, Md./Landon School) & Jeremy Jordan (Portsmouth, Va./I.C. Norcom) led the way offensively with 18 points apiece.
  • Cockrell shot 7-of-15 from the floor with 4 boards & 3 steals while Jordan went 4-of-5 from deep with 2 boards & 2 assists.
  • Junior Tyrell Lacoste (Aberdeen, Md./Aberdeen) followed with 10 points, 5 rebounds, 3 assists & 2 steals off the bench. 
  • Freshman Marcus Bauman (Scranton, Pa./Scranton) tallied 9 points & 5 rebounds while freshman Jalen Gregory (Scranton, Pa./West Scranton) grabbed a team-high 6 rebounds.
  • 5 players finished in double-figures for West Conn as the Colonials shot 12-of-19 (63.2%) from long distance.
