Carlini & Paniagua Homer in 15-4 Win at Drew

MADISON, N.J. - Junior Nick Carlini (Clarks Summit, Pa./Abington Heights) and senior Johann Paniagua (Bronx, NY/James Monroe Campus High School) both homered and the Keystone College baseball team collected 18 hits in Thursday's 15-4 non-conference win at Drew University.

With the win, the Giants snap a four-game losing skid and improve to 4-7 on the year. Keystone will head to Alvernia University on Monday, April 1 at 4 p.m. The Rangers move to .500 at 8-8.

Overall, Keystone scored twice in the first, four times in the third, thrice in the fifth and added four more runs in the seventh and two more in the ninth.

Carlini finished 3-for-5 with four RBI, including his three-run blast to left in the third. Senior Ronald Medina (Bronx, NY/Dewitt Clinton) enjoyed a 3-for-4 day with two RBI and one run scored.

Seniors Mohammed Hussein (Queens, NY/William C. Bryant), Chris Panzarella (Hazle Township, Pa./Hazleton Area), Dakota McFadden (Rocky Point, NC/Heide Trask) and Paniagua all collected two hits apiece and combined to score eight runs. Paniagua's blast was a solo shot in the fifth.

On the mound, senior Christopher Adams (Brooklyn, NY/Franklin K. Lane) earned the win as the righty tossed five innings while scattering five hits and allowing two earned runs while striking out four and walking three.

Junior Jared Rowley (Dover, Del./Dover) pitched two innings in relief and struck out five Rangers while sophomore Nathan Hinkley (Bradenton, Fla./Saint Lucie West Centennial) and freshman Jordan Montes (Tampa, Fla./Sickles) both threw an inning each.
