Robinson’s Five Goals Lifts Giants Past Keuka

KEUKA PARK, N.Y. - Senior Savanna Robinson (Wilkes-Barre, Pa./Coughlin) scored all five goals as the Keystone College field hockey team enjoyed a 5-1 road win at Keuka College on Wednesday afternoon.
  • With the win, the Giants improve to 2-3 while Keuka drops to 0-6.
  • Keystone heads to Elmira College on Saturday, Sept. 14 at 1 p.m.
  • Earlier this year, Keystone defeated the Wolves 3-0 on Sept. 1.
  • Against Keuka this year, Robinson has all eight goals for Keystone.
  • Her 5 goals are tied for the 2nd most in single game program history (Diane Furlong in 1979 & Wendy Landis in 1977)
  • Today, Robinson scored once in the 1st and 2nd periods while adding three 2nd half goals.
  • Senior Amy Llewellyn (Plains, Pa./Coughlin) and juniors Heaven Houck (Honesdale, Pa./Honesdale) & Jackie Martin (Honesdale, Pa./Honesdale) accounted for three assists.
  • Robinson led all players with 14 shots (11 on target) while junior Taylor Cercone (Dallas, Pa./Lake Lehman) and sophomore Corinne Wohlmaker (Honesdale, Pa./Honesdale) combined for three shots.
  • Senior Megan Novak (Wilkes-Barre, Pa./Coughlin) finished with eight saves while senior Daphne Leenas (Ringwood, N.J./Lakeland Regional) made one defensive save in the victory.
  • Leenas now ranks 4th in NCAA D-III in defensive saves.
  • The Giants honored 9/11 by wearing patriotic KC shirts along with American flag headbands throughout the game.
