Giants Drop 2-1 Decision to Montclair State



La PLUME, Pa. – The Keystone College men's soccer team fell to visiting Montclair State University 2-1 in non-conference action on Tuesday night.
  • Keystone is now 5-3-1 and will begin CSAC play on Saturday, Sept. 28, traveling to Clarks Summit University at 1 p.m.
  • The Red Hawks improve to 7-3-0.
  • Montclair State is receiving votes in the national poll on d3soccer.com
  • The Red Hawks scored in the 6th minute of play and netted a goal in the 58th minute to go up 2-0.
  • Junior Carlos Bonilla (Clermont, Fla./East Ridge) converted a penalty kick in the 59th minute to trim the deficit to 2-1.
  • For Bonilla, this was his 3rd goal of the year & he leads the team with 9 points.
  • Senior Daniel Zuniga (Lakeland, Fla./McKeel Academy) fired off two shots while sophomore Sebastian Bonilla (Clermont, Fla./East Ridge), freshman Emmanuel Onwubiko (Newtown Square, Pa./Upper Darby) & sophomore MarDayus Bothwell (Gadsden, Ala./Gadsden City) all tallied one shot each.
  • Sophomore Erick Gomez (Marrero, La./John Ehret) made six stops in goal.
