Men’s Basketball Holds On For 70-68 Win Over John Jay

La PLUME, Pa. - The Keystone College men's basketball team held off visiting John Jay College 70-68 in non-conference action on Sunday afternoon.
  • With the win, Keystone snaps a 4-game losing streak to move to 6-11 and will travel to the College of St. Elizabeth on Wednesday, Jan. 22 at 6 p.m. in CSAC action.
  • John Jay drops to 11-5.
  • 5 players finished in double figures for the Giants, as junior Jeremy Jordan (Portsmouth, Va./I.C. Norcom) scored a team-high 15 points while pulling down 8 boards.
  • Freshman Marcus Bauman (Scranton, Pa./Scranton) notched a double-double with 13 points & 11 rebounds while providing 3 steals.
  • Freshman Jalen Gregory (Scranton, Pa./West Scranton) tallied 12 points, 5 rebounds & 2 assists while senior Jalen Flynn (Reading, Pa./Muhlenberg) enjoyed 10 points & 6 rebounds.
  • Senior Ray Mills (Philadelphia, Pa./Overbrook) notched 10 points while junior Tone Cockrell (Upper Marlboro, Md./Landon School) notched 5 points, 5 assists & 4 rebounds. 
  • For the Bloodhounds, Jayson Brower scored a game-high 27 points while Doug Levy tallied a double-double with 13 points & 11 rebounds.
  • Keystone led 29-23 at intermission & was ahead by 18 points (57-39) with 4:31 to play.
  • John Jay ended the game on a 29-13 run but the Giants were able to hold off the rally.
