Women’s Basketball Falls at Notre Dame 71-70; Snaps 13-Game Winning Streak

BALTIMORE, Md. - The Keystone College women's basketball team suffered its first CSAC setback of the season on Wednesday with a 71-70 defeat at Notre Dame of Maryland.
  • With the loss, Keystone is now 18-6 (16-1 CSAC) and will wrap up the regular season at home against St. Elizabeth on Saturday, Feb. 22 at 1 p.m. with the No. 1 seed in the upcoming CSAC Tournament up for grabs
  • Notre Dame improves to 17-7 (13-4 CSAC).
  • Sophomore Mac Oribello (San Diego, Calif./Westview) netted a game-high 26 points to go along with 4 steals, 3 assists & 2 rebounds.
  • Sophomore Bella Lamonea (Glendora, Calif./South Hills) enjoyed a double-double with 19 points & 12 boards while dishing out 5 assists.
  • Junior Khaliah Gordon (Philadelphia, Pa./Penn Wood) notched 12 points & 3 steals while freshman Katie Price (Fredonia, N.Y./Fredonia) & junior Faith Shiffer (Pine Grove, Pa./Pine Grove) combined for 8 points, 9 rebounds, 8 assists & 6 steals.
  • Freshman Megan Weber (South Williamsport, Pa./South Williamsport Area) & junior Samy Farah (Sterling, Va./Potomac Falls) combined for 5 points & 7 boards off the bench.
  • For the Gators, 5 players finished in double figures as Ariana Alleyne scored 15 points. Daija Fitchett tallied a double-double with 14 points & 11 rebounds.
  • Keystone was out-rebounded 44-33 but forced 24 NDM turnovers.
  • The Gators led by 1 (19-18) after the 1st quarter & took a 34-29 lead at the half.
  • Trailing 54-44 entering the 4th, Keystone went on a 26-16 run to knot the game at 70.
  • NDM knocked down 1-of-2 free throws with 3 seconds left to hand Keystone the team's 1st CSAC loss of the year.
