ROSEMONT, Pa. – Notre Dame of Maryland University was the top pick of the coaches in the 2021-22 Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) Women's Basketball Preseason poll released on Tuesday afternoon.
The Gators got 84 points and two first-place votes. Defending champion Keystone College was second with 81 points and six first-place votes. The Giants won the 2019-2020 championship with a victory over Saint Elizabeth University. The CSAC did not have a competitive season in 2020-21 due to the COVID-19 outbreak.
Clarks Summit University was third with 69 points and one first-place vote. Saint Elizabeth University was forth with 61 points, followed by Cedar Crest College in fifth place with 56 points.
Cairn University was sixth with 48 points, followed by Bryn Athyn College and Rosemont College tied for seventh with 45 points. Bryn Athyn College got one first-place vote.
The University of Valley Forge was ninth with 32 points, followed by Wilson College in tenth with 29 points.
Play begins Friday, November 5, with Wilson heading to PSU-Hazelton. Conference play begins on Tuesday, November 23, with four conference matchups.
The CSAC Championship, taking the top six teams, is set to begin Monday, February 21, 2022. The Championship game is set for Saturday, February 26, 2022.
