ALFRED, N.Y. - The Keystone College wrestling program competed at the Alfred State Quad Meet on Saturday, going up against the host Pioneers, Lycoming College and SUNY Ulster.
The Giants fell to Alfred State 33-16 and Lycoming 43-3 but enjoyed a 45-4 victory over Ulster.
Alfred State 33, Keystone 16
Dalten Klinges (Nicholson, Pa./Lackawanna Trail) earned a win by decision (11-5) over Adam Brown at 149 while CJ Riccobono (New Hyde Park, N.Y./New Hyde Park Memorial) enjoyed a major decision victory (12-4) at 157 against Ryan Nugent.
Jonathan Grimm (Keedysville, Md./Boonsboro) won by decision (2-1) at 184 against Cale Bartosch and Rocco Arduini (Harpursville, N.Y./Harpursville)Â enjoyed a heavyweight win by pin (1:57) against Keaton Renfrew.
Lycoming 43, Keystone 3
Grimm enjoyed a win by decision (3-1) against the Warriors' Peter Kenny at 184.
Keystone 45, Ulster 4
Christian Micikas (Pennington, N.J./Hopewell Valley Central) won by decision (15-8) over Aidan Maduro at 174.
Exhibition
At 197, Brandon Crusen (Scranton, Pa./Scranton) defeated Lycoming's Jacob Davis by decision (5-2).
What's Next
This was the final competition for the Giants in the 2021 fall semester. Keystone will be training for the Ursinus North-South Duals on Saturday, January 8.
