Softball Season Ends With Extra-Inning Setback to Wilson

ALLENTOWN, Pa. - The Keystone College softball team fell to Wilson College 10-8 in 8 innings on Saturday in the CSAC Tournament at Cedar Crest College. 
  • The Giants end the year at 15-8 while the Phoenix continued & played Cedar Crest College, falling to the Falcons in the CSAC championship game.
  • Brooke Staple (Carbondale, Pa./Carbondale Area) went 2-for-4 on the day with a double. 
  • Kabrina Birmingham (Burlington, N.J./Burlington City) ripped a homer in the top of the 8th to give the Giants an 8-5 lead. 
  • Courtney Cienki (West Milford, N.J./West Milford) started the game for the Giants, as she struck out two and only gave up 3 hits in 3 innings.
  • Kylee Kerstetter (Selinsgrove, Pa./Selinsgrove Area) pitched 4.1 innings, and she forced 6 ground outs and 6 flyouts. 
  • Wilson left KC scoreless until the 6th inning, when Lexy Johnson (Newark, Del./Delaware Military Academy) started the 5-run rally for the Giants. 
  • Wilson tied it up in the bottom of the 7th, which sent it to extras.
