WILKES-BARRE, Pa.- The Keystone College field hockey team suffered a heartbreaking 2-1 defeat in overtime to host King's College (PA) Tuesday evening.
Standout Performers
- Following a Monarch's goal late in the second quarter, Keystone tied the game early in the third as junior midfielder Shannon Green (Tunkhannock, Pa./Tunkhannock Area) tallied her first goal of the season.
- Miranda Mascia (Blakeslee, Pa./Pocono Mountain West) had one assist on the night.
- Hannah Osbahr (Old Bridge, N.J./Old Bridge) and Casey Stratton (Ellicott City, Md./Centennial) both appeared in tonight's match in goal with Osbahr getting the start. Both recorded one save.

King's recorded more shots in the game, 9-6. However, Keystone provided more shots on goal, 6-4. The Monarchs had an 11-4 advantage on corners.
Vicky Mainero (Francisco Alvarez, Buenos Aires, Argentina/St. Patrick's College) had a team leading three shots for the Giants. For King's, Bailey Jordan led the Monarchs in shots with six. In addition, she provided the only two goals for the home team.
What's Next
With the overtime loss, the Giants drop to 5-3. Keystone will travel to Gwynedd Mercy University on Saturday, Sep. 25 for a 12 p.m. match up with the Griffins.
