GENEVA, N.Y. - The Keystone College football team fell at Hobart College 58-14 in non-conference action on Saturday evening.
The Giants drop to 0-4 on the year while the Statesmen improve to 4-0.Â
Keystone will return home to host Anna Maria College on Saturday, Oct. 2 at 12 p.m. to kickoff ECFC play.
Tom Roach (Burlington City, N.J./Burlington City) threw for a pair of touchdowns against the Statesmen, connecting on a 15-yard score with Angel Rodriguez (Islip, N.Y./Islip) in the 3rd quarter, followed by a 10-yard score with Jorden Cook (New Paltz, N.Y./New Paltz) in the 4th. Roach finished the game 10-of-18 for 127 yards.
Cook hauled in 4 receptions for 50 yards while Kevin Lewis (Philadelphia, Pa./Imhotep Charter) and Da'Juan Vales tallied catches. Cook returned 3 kickoffs for 47 yards.
Defensively, Maxwell Johnson (Wilmington, Del./St. Thomas Aquinas College) led KC with 9 tackles while Jerell Springer (Brooklyn, N.Y./Midwood) and Sean Pettway (Ellenville, N.Y./Ellenville) combined for 15 stops. Springer enjoyed a sack while Joe Manfredo (Levittown, N.Y./General Douglas MacArthur) notched 5 tackles and one pass breakup.
For Hobart, David Krewson went 10-of-15 for 160 yards and 2 TD's. Tim Denham, Jr. rushed 16 times for 90 yards and a score. The Statesmen led 41-0 at intermission.
