LA PLUME, Pa. – The Keystone men's basketball team fell to visiting Saint Elizabeth, 76-67, Saturday afternoon in Colonial State Athletic Conference play at the Gambal Athletic Center.
It was a close affair as neither team lead by more than single-digit numbers, keeping it close at 60-all with seven minutes remaining in the game. Keystone jumped out to a four-point lead with under four minutes left on a Jack Anderson (Davie, Fla./Western High) 3-pointer, but it would be the Giants' final basket of the contest as the Eagles closed out the win on a 13-0 run.
The Giants fell to 2-3 in CSAC play (4-10 overall) while Saint Elizabeth improved to 3-0 in conference (3-8 overall).
Standout Performers
- Pete Laidley (Miramar, Fla./Pembrokes Pine Charter) led the Giants with 19 points on 9-of-13 shooting to go along with nine rebounds.
- Jack Anderson (Davie, Fla./Western High) also had a good shooting outing, going 7 of 13 from the field with three 3-pointers to total 17 points.
- Tone Cockrell (Upper Marlboro, Md./Landon School) came close to a triple-double with 15 points, eight rebounds and seven assists.
- Darnill Brown poured in a team-high 29 points off the bench for Saint Elizabeth, going 10 for 19 from the field with five 3-pointers splashed.
- Saint Elizabeth's Pierre Harden tallied a double-double with 11 points and 17 rebounds to go along with seven assists.

- Keystone dominated in points off turnovers with a 20-5 margin and points in the paint at a 30-18 advantage.
- Led by Brown's effort, the Eagles 37 bench points outdid the Giants' 10.
- Saint Elizabeth had 21 attempts at the free throw line (61.9 percent) while Keystone shot 7 of 10.
- After Anderson's 3-pointer at the 3:56 mark, the Giants went 0 for 6 from the field with two turnovers. The Eagles finished 5 of 6 on field goals and 2 for 4 at the charity stripe.

- The Giants will return home Tuesday to take on Valley Forge (0-4 CSAC, 3-7 overall) for a 6 p.m. tip-off.
- Reminder that spectators are not allowed at CSAC home events through Jan. 31.
- Saint Elizabeth will play Bryn Athyn (0-4 CSAC, 1-12 overall) that same evening.
- Both Keystone and Saint Elizabeth will play each other again Feb. 16 in New Jersey.
