Giants Get Past Cedar Crest, 79-74

ALLENTOWN, Pa. – Lee Gordon (Philadelphia, Pa./Penn Wood) exploded for 27 second-half points to help lead Keystone past Cedar Crest, 79-74, Monday evening in Colonial States Athletic Conference play at Lees Gymnasium.

With the game tied at the 7:18 mark of the fourth quarter, the Giants went on an 8-0 run fueled by Lee's go-ahead free throws and steal off an in-bounded pass for an easy bucket.

The Falcons threatened late by making it a three-point game with under a half-minute remaining, but Lee's reverse layup off of an inbounded pass briefly extended the Giants lead before Cedar Crest's Jenna McDonald hit a fast-break layup to make it 77-74.

With seconds remaining, Lee came up empty on two free throw-attempts, but Abby Ritz (Tunkhannock, Pa./Tunkhannock Area) corralled the rebound and made an easy layup to end the game.

The victory made it four in a row for Keystone (8-3 CSAC, 10-6 overall) as it moves back tied for second place with Wilson (8-3 CSAC) in the conference standings.

Cedar Crest fell to 3-9 CSAC, 4-11 overall.
