Football Week 7 Preview: Anna Maria

La PLUME, Pa. - The Keystone College football team will travel to Paxton, Mass. to play Anna Maria College on Saturday, Oct. 15 at 12 p.m.

The Giants head into Saturday's contest at 0-6 (0-2 ECFC) after falling just short at Alfred State last week, 42-33. The Amcats sit a 3-2 (1-1 ECFC) and are coming off a 41-27 victory at SUNY Maritime last weekend.

Scouting the Giants

Keystone battled back after trailing by 22 points in the third quarter at Alfred State last week. Four different players scored a rushing TD for the Giants.

Mujaheed Muhammad (Philadelphia, Pa./Paul Robeson) rushed 21 times for 135 and one score, brining his career touchdown total to 12. Kevin Lewis (Philadelphia, Pa./Imhotep Charter), Damir Green (Philadelphia, Pa./Imhotep), and Tom Roach (Burlington City, N.J./Burlington City) all had rushing TDs.

Reese Karp (Pen Argyl, Pa./Pen Argyl) hauled in a six-yard TD reception while Richie Crews (Cuddebackville, N.Y./Port Jervis) finished with five catches for 91 yards. Roach went 16-for-29 with 220 yards.

Joe Manfredo (Levittown, N.Y./General Douglas MacArthur) registered his third interception of the year.

Keystone fell to AMC 55-35 last year, as Lewis, Muhammad, Roach & Jorden Cook (New Paltz, N.Y./New Paltz) all enjoyed scores. Chad Jones (Bear, Del./Alexis I. DuPont) and Cook combined for 12 catches and 156 yards.

Scouting the Amcats

AMC won its first two contests before dropping the next two. The Amcats are 1-2 at home this year.

Alex Cohen is 110-of-181 for 1,510 yards and 17 TDs through the air while scoring three on the ground. The Amcats feature three receivers with 25+ catches, led by Devin Tolbert with 38 receptions for 436 yards and three TDs.

Justin McMillian has 27 catches for 454 yards and 5 scores while Deandre Wallace has 6 TDs and 399 yards in 2022.

Defensively, Alvin Martin leads AMC with 39 stops while Sam Jakana has 34 tackles.

Last year, the Amcats finished 7-3 (5-1 ECFC), winning the conference and earning a bid into the NCAA Playoffs, eventually falling to Delaware Valley. McMillian opened that contest with an 82-yard kickoff return for a TD.

What's Next

Keystone returns home to host Castleton University on Saturday, Oct. 22 at 12 p.m. for the Faculty + Staff Appreciation Game. Following their bye week, Anna Maria heads to Gallaudet University on Oct. 29.
