LA PLUME, Pa.- The Keystone College women's volleyball team enjoyed a 3-1 win over Wilson College Friday evening in their regular season finale. With the win, Keystone ends the regular season at 12-12 (7-2 CSAC). Wilson drops to 4-20 (4-5 CSAC).
Keystone took the match 25-9, 26-28, 25-12, and 25-11. Prior to the start of the match, the team honored their lone senior Madolyn Fernandes (Allentown, Pa./Parkland) in a Senior Day pregame ceremony.
Devany Obin (Williamsburg, Va./Bruton) posted a match and career high eight service aces. She also had 5 digs and 11 assists. Obin is now tied for third in program history with service aces in a match. Adrianna Derrick (Oklahoma City, Okla./Putnam City) had 11 kills while Rebecca Jackson (Quakertown, Pa./Salem Christian School) recorded nine, and Sage Superko (Laceyville, Pa./Wyalusing Valley) had eight. Hailey Herneisey (Middletown, Pa./Middletown Area) and Kaylee Sargent (Tioga, Pa./Williamson) combined for 26 digs. Sargent and Karielys Gonzalez Ramirez (Lebanon, Pa./Lebanon) both had four service aces on the night. For Wilson, Deah Menedis had 15 kills. Niki Schussler had a double-double with 10 kills and 12 digs.
Keystone will now get ready for the CSAC Tournament which is set to begin next week with a date, time, and opponent to be determined.
