Women’s Soccer Blanks Clarks Summit

LA PLUME, Pa.- The Keystone College women's soccer team enjoyed a 6-0 win over Clarks Summit University Tuesday afternoon at the Keystone College Turf Field. With the win, Keystone moves to 5-3-1 (2-1-1 CSAC). CSU goes to 2-5-3 (0-4 CSAC).

Brooke Freni (Glendora, N.J./Triton Regional) and Natalie Cross (Hop Bottom, Pa./Mountain View) each scored two goals in the contest while Megan Weber (South Williamsport, Pa./South Williamsport Area) and Chloe Hoffman (Danville, Pa./Danville Area) both tallied a goal apiece. Freni, Hoffman, and Weber combined for four assists. Goalkeeper Annie Metzger (Chambersburg, Pa./Chambersburg Area) made five saves in net for the clean sheet. Clarks Summit goalkeepers Kayla White-Regan and Ashlyn Messinger both appeared in goal and combined for seven saves on the afternoon.

The Giants outshot the Defenders 22-9 with a 4-1 advantage on corner kicks. Weber posted a game high seven shots in the match.

Keystone will host Wilson College on Saturday, Oct. 8 at 1 p.m. Clarks Summit will hit the road for their next match as they battle Rosemont College on Oct 8 at 5 p.m.
