Men’s Soccer Season Ends in CSAC Semifinals

LANGHORNE, Pa- The No. 3 seed Keystone College men's soccer team fell in double overtime 1-0 to host No. 2 seed Cairn University in the CSAC Semifinals Thursday evening at the G. Patrick Stillman Athletic Complex. With the loss, Keystone ends the season at 7-9-2. Cairn improves to 9-5-5 and will face No.1 Rosemont College in the CSAC title game on Saturday Nov. 5.  

The match was scoreless through the first and second half as well as the first overtime. It was not until 17 seconds into the second overtime when Cairn forward Jesse Brittain found the back of the net to give the Highlanders the lead and ultimately the win. David Falcon had the assist. Goalkeeper Erick Gomez (New Orleans, La./John Ehret) made eight saves tonight.  

The Highlanders outshot the Giants 26-14 as well as having a 10-1 advantage on corner kicks. Daniel Cook (Hamilton Parish, Bermuda/GED Certificate) led Keystone in shots with three while Hernan Godoy (Bernardsville, N.J./Bernards) and Mathias Trujillo (Marathon, Fla./Marathon) each had two.
