WXC Picked Seventh in Preseason Poll

VILLANOVA, Pa. – Defending champion Cedar Crest College was the top pick of the coaches in the 2022 Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) Women's Cross Country Preseason poll released on Monday afternoon.

The Falcons – who captured their first championship in 2021 – received 78 points and seven first-place votes. Cairn University was second with 64 points and one first-place vote. Clarks Summit University was third with 63 points and one first-place votes.

The University of Valley Forge was fourth with 48 points, followed by Saint Elizabeth University in fifth with 39 points.

Notre Dame of Maryland University was sixth with 33 points, followed by Keystone College in seventh at 32 points, Bryn Athyn College was eighth with 30 points and Rosemont College was slated ninth with 18 points.

Meets begin on September 1 with six teams in action, including Cairn heading to Valley Forge. The CSAC Preview Meet is scheduled for Saturday, September 17, at Bryn Athyn College. Bryn Athyn College will also host the CSAC Championship – on campus – on Saturday, October 29.
