LA PLUME, Pa.- The Keystone College women's volleyball team earned their first win of the season by sweeping Penn State Scranton 3-0 Thursday night inside the Gambal Athletic Center. Keystone won the first set 25-9, second set 25-5, and third set 25-9. With the win, the Giants move to 1-3.
Rebecca Jackson (Quakertown, Pa./Salem Christian School) tallied a game high nine kills in tonight's match while Adrianna Derrick (Oklahoma City, Okla./Putnam City) tallied five.
Elise Burk (Paw Paw, Mich./Paw Paw) dished out 13 assists with three kills. Hailey Herneisey (Middletown, Pa./Middletown Area) had a game high 10 digs. Herneisey and Devany Obin (Williamsburg, Va./Bruton) combined for 10 aces. Sage Superko (Laceyville, Pa./Wyalusing Valley) contributed with four kills and three service aces.
From a team standpoint, Keystone served 18 aces in tonight's win. The Giants will return to action this Saturday, Sept. 10 for their first tri-match of the season. Keystone will travel to face host Lycoming College at 11 a.m. followed by a 1 p.m. match against Marywood University.
