LA PLUME, PA – Keystone women's volleyball put up a fight while taking on the Gators from Notre Dame of Maryland University. Notre Dame ended up going home with a 3-2 victory with set scores of 25-23, 21-25, 25-17, 18-25, and 15-12. Notre Dame won sets 1, 3, and 5
Game leaders for the Gators included Ciarra Bockstie with 15 kills throughout the day, Natalie Newton with 22 assists, and Emma Mueller with 17 assists.
For Keystone, Taylor Hallam (Harrisburg, Pa./Central Dauphin East) put up 16 kills and was followed closely by Adrianna Derrick (Oklahoma City, Okla./Putnam City) with 13 and Rebecca Jackson (Quakertown, Pa./Salem Christian School) with 12. Tobi West (Hoopeston, Ill./Hoopeston Area) also ended the day with 37 assists, and Hailey Herneisey (Middletown, Pa./Middletown Area) and Kaylee Sargent (Tioga, Pa./Williamson) combined for 36 digs.
With this loss, Keystone moves to 8-9 on the season (1-2 United East) and Notre Dame of Maryland moves to 10-8 overall (3-1 United East).
The Giants will hit the road on Tuesday (10/17) for another conference match against Bryn Athyn. Game time is scheduled for 7:00 PM.
