LA PLUME, Pa.- The Keystone College women's soccer team's season ended this evening as they fell at home to Cairn University by a final score of 7-0.
Keystone wraps up the year with a record of 3–12 (2- 7 United East Skye Division). Cairn goes to 6–5-3 (4-2-2 United East Skye Division) and will now prepare for the United East Championship which begins on Saturday.
Annie Metzger (Chambersburg, Pa./Chambersburg Area) made 10 saves in goal tonight for Keystone.
Cairn was up 1-0 at the end of the first half, but the Higlanders offense got hot as they outscored Keystone 6-0 in the second. Micaela Prate led the team with two goals. Paige Noble and Becca Marzinke recorded one goal and one assist. Rachel Noble and Teresa Lee found the back of the net while Victoria Vega and Ashanley Phillippe contributed with one assist.
The Highlanders outshot the Giants, 26-2. Hailey Dunham (Southgate, Mich./Inter-City Baptist) and Livia Hable (Pottsville, Pa./Pottsville Area) each made a shot. Cairn had seven corner kicks in the season finale.
