LA PLUME, Pa.- The Keystone College men's soccer team battled to a 1-1 draw with Notre Dame of Maryland University Wednesday evening at the Keystone College Turf Field.
With the tie, the Giants wrap up the regular season at 3-11-3 (3-3-2 United East Skye Division). Notre Dame goes to 5-7-2 (2-4-1 United East Skye Division).
The Gators got on the score column with a goal from Hector Alvarez. Following that goal, it was a defensive and competitive battle between both squads. In the 87th minute, Trevor Lagarde (Monroe, N.Y./Monroe-Woodbury) scored the equalizer to have the match end in a tie.
Keystone outshot Notre Dame, 14-6. The team posted a dozen corner kicks in the regular season finale. Hernan Godoy (Bernardsville, N.J./Bernards) had a match high 5 shots.
The Giants will now prepare for the United East Conference Tournament which begins on Saturday, Oct. 28 with the divisional first round. An opponent, location, date, and time are yet to be announced.
