LA PLUME, Pa.- The Keystone College football team suffered a 26-14 loss to Catholic University Saturday afternoon in the team's final home game of the 2023 season.
Keystone drops to 1-8 (0-5 Landmark) and Catholic improves to 3-5 (1-3 Landmark).
The football team honored its seniors prior to the start of the game.
Donald Leach III (Harrisburg, Pa./Susquehanna Township) threw 17 passes for 228 yards and one touchdown. Jayson Nami (Freehold Township, N.J./Freehold Township) had 131 receiving yards with one score.
Defensively, Nicholas DeFrancesco (Quarryville, Pa./Solanco) recorded a game high 10 tackles and 1.5 sacks. Quentin Tibbs (New Brunswick, N.J./New Brunswick), Mar-zhon Brinson (Freehold, N.J./Freehold), and Joe Manfredo (Levittown, N.Y./General Douglas MacArthur) collected nine tackles in the loss.
For the visiting Cardinals, quarterback Madden Lowe tallied 307 passing yards with two touchdowns. In addition, he rushed for 58 yards. Zach Williams finished the game with 124 passing yards and two touchdowns. Luke Brautigan paced the defense with 10 tackles.
Keystone concludes the 2023 season at Juniata College next Saturday, Nov. 4 at 12 p.m.
