BALTIMORE, Md.- The No. 3 seed Keystone College women's volleyball team was defeated by the No. 2 seed Notre Dame of Maryland University in four sets Tuesday evening in the United East Conference Skye Division Semifinal.
Keystone won the first set 25-23 but dropped the last three sets by scores of 30-28, 25-13, and 25-22.
With the loss, Keystone ends the 2023 season at 15-10. Notre Dame improves to 15-9 and will face No. 1 seed Cedar Crest in the Skye Division Final on Thursday.
Rebecca Jackson (Quakertown, Pa./Salem Christian School) recorded 12 kills and 18 digs to lead the Giants. Taylor Hallam (Harrisburg, Pa./Central Dauphin East) delivered 11 kills and six block assists. Adrianna Derrick (Oklahoma City, Okla./Putnam City) and Taylor Howard (Lewisberry, Pa./Red Land) combined for 15 kills while Hailey Herneisey (Middletown, Pa./Middletown Area) and Kaylee Sargent (Tioga, Pa./Williamson) together compiled 30 digs.
For Notre Dame, Ciarra Bockstie tallied a match high 16 kills. Miasia Ferrer compiled 10 kills and Natalie Newton recorded nine kills and eight digs.
