Giants Men’s Basketball Hangs Tough Against James Madison

HARRISONBURG, Va.- The Keystone College men's basketball team were defeated by Division I James Madison University 130-59 Sunday afternoon at Atlantic Union Bank Center.

DaShaun Johnson (Montgomery Village, Md./Clarksburg) scored a game-high 12 points and shot 5-of-13 from the field. Jack Anderson (Davie, Fla./Western) recorded 11 points with two rebounds, and two assists. Tyler Fox (Fort Lauderdale, Fla./Cardinal Gibbons), D'Andre Sutherland (Miramar, Fla./West Broward), and Brandon Scott (Cheltenham, Pa./Cheltenham) combined for 20 points and eight rebounds. Sutherland and Kamdyn Ayers (Fort Lauderdale, Fla./Western) both recorded five boards.  

The Dukes leading scorer was Michael Green III with 21 points, four assists, and two rebounds. Terrence Edwards Jr. chipped in with 16 points. Jaylen Cary had 15 points with five rebounds and was 80 percent from the field. Collectively, Noah Friedel and Xavier Brown scored 23 points each as well as grabbing 10 rebounds.  

Following three straight away games, the Giants return to the Gambal Athletic Center for a United East Conference matchup with the University of Valley Forge on Wednesday, Dec. 6 at 6 p.m.
