CLARKS SUMMIT, Pa.- The No.6 seed Keystone College women's basketball team saw its 2022-23 season end as they were defeated by No. 3 Clarks Summit University in the CSAC Quarterfinals 75-64 Monday night in the Huckaby Gymnasium. The Giants finish the year with a record of 11-15. Clarks Summit moves to 16-9 and advances to the CSAC Semifinals Wednesday evening against No. 2 Wilson College.
Riley Berry (Margate, Fla./Piper) posted a game high 26 points with six threes. Kwashanti Holmes (Yonkers, N.Y./Woodlands) recorded 12 points and 18 rebounds to complete the double-double. Kyleigh Monk (Havre de Grace, Md./John Carroll School) also had 12 points on the night. Ashlyn Messinger led the Lady Defenders with 24 points, six rebounds, and four assists. Elizabeth Singleton had a double-double as she finished the game with 22 points, 12 rebounds, and six assists.
Keystone trailed 34-32 at halftime, but Clarks Summit started to come back in the second half as they outscored the Giants 41-32 to pull away with the victory. The Defenders outrebounded the Giants, 44-36. The Giants shot 37 percent from the field.
