BETHLEHEM, Pa. – The Keystone College baseball team snapped a five-game losing skid on Thursday with a 13-9 non-conference victory at Moravian University.
With the win, the Giants improve to 7-9 and open up CSAC play this weekend against Clarks Summit from March 31-April 1. The Greyhounds drop to 7-11.
Overall, the Giants tallied 17 hits on the day, with three coming from Justin Mann (St. John's, Fla./Bartram Trail) and Jason Thomas (Miami, Fla./Barbara Goleman).
Anthony Raimo (Albany, N.Y./Christian Brothers Academy) drove in four runs while Giovanni Diaz (Bronx, N.Y./Christopher Columbus) and Bobby Pokorney (Margate, Fla./J.P. Taravella) launched homers to pace Keystone. Robert Estrada (Jersey City, N.J./Ferris) finished with a team-high three runs scored.
On the mound, Nathan Hinkley (Bradenton, Fla./Saint Lucie West Centennial) earned his third win this spring, going five innings with eight flyouts and five groundouts. Slothing Che (Santo Domingo, D.R./Instituto Tecnologico Fabio Amable Mota), Anthony Mierez (Granby, Conn./Rockville), Grant McGowan (Jacksonville, Fla./Mandarin) appeared in relief with Ryan Oka (Auburn, Wash./Jefferson) earning the save.
