LA PLUME, Pa.- The Keystone College football team returns home as they prepare for a week three matchup with the St. John Fisher University Cardinals on Saturday, Sept. 16 at 1 p.m.

Keystone (1-1) is coming off their first defeat of the season as they fell on the road to Hartwick College by a final score of 31-21. The Giants held a 21-7 lead at halftime but were scoreless in the second half as the Hartwick Hawks got hot at the right time and put up 24 unanswered points.
Demiko Suggs (Washington, D.C./Bell) went 11-for-19 with 149 passing yards, two touchdowns, and one interception in his first collegiate start. Michael Bond (Baltimore, Md./Baltimore City) led Keystone's receiving core with 66 yards with a touchdown. Richie Crews (Cuddebackville, N.Y./Port Jervis) had a 20-yard receiving touchdown in the contest, and Damir Green (Philadelphia, Pa./Imhotep) contributed with a rushing score.
Benjamin Pfitzinger (Parkton, Md./Hereford) led the Giants with 10 total tackles with eight of them being solo. Quentin Tibbs (New Brunswick, N.J./New Brunswick), Devin Montgomery (Waldorf, Md./Potomac), and Tyler Malanga (Monroe, N.J./Monroe Twp.) all had a tackle for loss. Dontez Crawford (Baltimore, Md./Pennsauken) snagged his first interception of the year.
St. John Fisher
The St. John Fisher University Cardinals (1-1) picked up their first win of the season as they dominated the Hilbert College Hawks 62-7 in the team's home opener.
Cardinals starting quarterback Aaron Chase finished the day with 166 passing yards and four touchdowns. Backup quarterback Hunter Walsh had two passing touchdowns on the day. Peyton Nolan enjoyed a solid day running the ball as he finished the game with 153 yards with one touchdown. Wide receiver Ethan Curtis added two receiving touchdowns for the Cardinals offense.
St. John Fisher's defense gave Hilbert tons of fits in last week's game. They had three sacks, one forced fumble, two pass break ups, and two interceptions. Kicker Kyle Farewell had two field goals in the win.
What's Next
Keystone will head to Hobart College next Saturday, Sept. 23, in the team's final nonconference game of the season. Kickoff is slated for 6 p.m.
