LA PLUME, Pa. - Keystone College women's volleyball fell short on Wednesday evening, as they were defeated 3-1 at home by Delaware Valley University.
After losing both of the first sets with a score of 25-16, Keystone fought back and won set three 25-18, but then finally dropped the match in the fourth set which Delaware Valley won 25-19.
The Giants are now 0-2 on the regular season, and will play again on Saturday (Sept. 9) at home against Marywood University and Lycoming College during a tri-match taking place here at Keystone.
Taylor Hallam (Harrisburg, Pa./Central Dauphin East) and Sofia Green (Portland, Ore./Mountainside) combined for 14 kills. Green led Keystone with 14 digs. Tobi West (Hoopeston, Ill./Hoopeston Area) had a match high 14 assists and 2 service aces.
For Delaware Valley, Gretta Schneider had 11 kills and 4 digs. Grace Wilson and Samantha Wilton together had 30 digs. Emma Helverson also had 10 kills for the Aggies.
