LA PLUME, Pa.- The Keystone College women's volleyball team dropped a hard-fought conference contest to Notre Dame of Maryland University 3-2 (14-25, 25-20, 25-17, 19-25, and 10-15) Saturday evening in the Gambal Athletic Center.
Keystone drops to 16-4 (4-2 United East) while Notre Dame improves to 12-9 (3-3 United East).
The team honored its three volleyball seniors Elise Burk (Paw Paw, Mich./Paw Paw), Adrianna Derrick (Oklahoma City, Okla./Putnam City), and Cassidy Fredo (Washington, N.J./Warren Hills) prior to the start of the match.
Sofia Green (Portland, Ore./Mountainside) led Keystone with 17 kills. Taylor Hallam (Harrisburg, Pa./Central Dauphin East) added 11 kills and four total blocks (three assists and one solo). Kaliyah Brown (Maricopa, Ariz./Sequoia Pathway Academy) tallied seven kills while Derrick and Taylor Howard (Lewisberry, Pa./Red Land) both had five. Burk tallied 22 assists and seven digs. Tobi West (Hoopeston, Ill./Hoopeston Area) had 15 assists and a match five service aces. Catie Woolf (Fremont, Ohio/Saint Joseph Central Catholic) contributed with 16 digs.
For the visiting Gators, Ciara Bockstie led the squad with 12 kills and five total blocks. Miasa Ferrer and Gwen Abnett both finished with 10 kills. Paulina Hernandez and Emma Mueller combined for 29 digs.
The Giants will remain home to host St. Elizabeth University next Wednesday, Oct. 23 at 7 p.m.
