LANCASTER, Pa. – On Saturday afternoon, Keystone's women's volleyball headed to Lancaster Bible College to take on the Chargers of Lancaster Bible College, and the Tigers of RIT. The Giants lost both matches in Saturday's tri-match.
Game 1: Keystone College v. Lancaster Bible College
The Giants fell in three straight sets to Lancaster Bible College with scores 25-17, 25-17, and 25-7.
Sofia Green (Portland, Ore./Mountainside) led the Giants' offensive efforts with five kills, while Tobi West (Hoopeston, Ill./Hoopeston Area) tallied 11 assists and Catie Woolf (Fremont, Ohio/Saint Joseph Central Catholic) ended the match with 11 digs.
Lancaster Bible's Lea Sareyka led the team in kills with 13 followed closely by Eden Belford with 12. The Chargers were helped along with 23 assists from Madeline Reed and 23 digs from Leah Helman.
Game 2:
After taking a 25-23 victory in the first set against RIT, the Giants fell in the following three sets with scores of 25-7, 25-12, and 25-14.
Taylor Hallam (Harrisburg, Pa./Central Dauphin East) led the Giants offensively in this match with seven kills and also added five blocks to the stat total. Tobi West (Hoopeston, Ill./Hoopeston Area) earned 18 assists in the match and Hailey Herneisey (Middletown, Pa./Middletown Area) led the team in digs with 11.
Mia Gerber led the Tigers with 12 kills and Hailey Blixt added an impressive 11 aces. Offensively, Sydney Neff tallied 28 assists. On the defensive side, Cat Vento left the match with seven blocks and Hailey Blixt had 18 digs.
Women's volleyball will return home on Tuesday, October 29th as they face Rosemont College in a conference matchup starting at 7:00 p.m.
