LA PLUME, Pa.- The Keystone College women's volleyball team picked up their second conference win as they swept Cedar Crest College 3-0 Saturday evening in conjunction with Homecoming and Family Weekend.
Keystone moves to 14-2 (2-0 United East). Cedar Crest falls to 6-11 (1-1 United East). The Giants won the match 25-17 in sets one and two and 25-20 in the third.Â
Prior to the start of today's match, the team honored women's volleyball alumnus Hannah Zuchowski '17 who was inducted into the Keystone College Athletics Hall of Fame yesterday afternoon.Â
Kaliyah Brown (Maricopa, Ariz./Sequoia Pathway Academy) recorded a match high 10 kills. Genevieve Pollock (Wallkill, N.Y./Wallkill) and Adrianna Derrick (Oklahoma City, Okla./Putnam City) tallied combined for 16 kills. Taylor Hallam (Harrisburg, Pa./Central Dauphin East) tallied five kills, four service aces, and three total blocks. Elise Burk (Paw Paw, Mich./Paw Paw) and Tobi West (Hoopeston, Ill./Hoopeston Area) both had 13 assists. Burk and Catie Woolf (Fremont, Ohio/Saint Joseph Central Catholic) had 11 and 14 digs, respectively.
For the visiting Falcons, Ziah Melton posted seven kills and seven digs. Rebecca Sanchez-Castro notched a match high 15 digs to go along with six kills.
The Giants head to the University of Valley Forge next Wednesday, Oct. 9 at 7 p.m.
