LA PLUME, Pa.- The Keystone College men's basketball team dropped an overtime thriller to Wilkes University 92-82 Wednesday evening in the team's first home game of the 2024-25 campaign.
Keystone drops to 0-2 with Wilkes remaining undefeated at 3-0.
Daryl Coleman (Allentown, Pa./Southern Lehigh) led the way with a double-double as he scored 23 points, 14 rebounds, and three assists. Boston Caldwell (Auckland, New Zealand/Westlake) contributed with 22 points and five rebounds. Brandon Scott (Cheltenham, Pa./Cheltenham) chipped in with 11 points and seven rebounds while Kamdyn Ayers (Fort Lauderdale, Fla./Western) added 10 points and five rebounds.
The Colonels were led by Lucas Lesko who scored 28 points with nine rebounds. Cayden Merrifield finished with 19 points and nine assists. Eli Becker and Jack Argento combined for 21 points.
The Giants took a 78-75 lead late in the second half with a three by Coleman followed by a jumper by Ayers. The Colonels tied in the final seconds with a three by Lesko which forced overtime. Wilkes got hot during the overtime period as they outscored Keystone, 14-4. The team shot 41 percent from the field.
Keystone will remain home as they host Marywood University next Tuesday, Nov. 19 at 7 p.m.
