Women’s Basketball Remains Undefeated in First Round of Tip-Off Tournament

LA PLUME, Pa. – Keystone college women's basketball moved their record to 3-0 on Friday evening as they defeated Keuka College 71-59 in the opening game of this weekend's four team Tip-Off Tournament.

Madison Reeves (Somerset, N.J./Immaculata) led the Giants offensively with 20 points in the game, and she contributed six rebounds and two steals before the game was over. Lisa Star (Wanaque, N.J./Lakeland Regional) helped Keystone to victory with nine offensive rebounds and four defensive rebounds while also putting up one of Keystone's two blocks on the night. Malaysia Bryant (Harlem, N.Y./Thurgood Marshall) was Keystone's last key player who put up 14 points on offense and added five steals and one block on defense.

For Keuka, Sydney Brown led the team with fifteen points, with a field goal percentage and three-point percentage of 50 each. She also drained two out of two shots from the free throw line. Lillian Mullen led the Wolves in rebounds with two on offense and six on defense. The entire team picked up four blocks on the night as well.

With this victory, the Giants will play again on Saturday, November 16th at 2:00 p.m. against Centenary University in the championship round of the tournament. The day will start at noon with a consolation game between Keuka College and Spalding University.
