SCRANTON, Pa.- The Keystone College women's basketball team dropped their first road game of the season to Marywood University 68-61 Wednesday evening in Insalaco Arena.
Keystone drops to 3-2 with Marywood jumping to 4-1.
Anyah Ortiz (Reading, Pa./Governor Mifflin) led the way with 16 points and three rebounds. Ginger Kerdock (Annapolis, Md./Broadneck) tallied 10 points, four rebounds, and three assists. Kamryn Alers (Scranton, Pa./Scranton) and Lisa Star (Wanaque, N.J./Lakeland Regional) both scored eight points.
Marywood's Olivia Ciullo was the top scorer in tonight's contest with 20 points and three rebounds. Kendel Card dropped 11 points, three rebounds, and two steals. Megan Cavoli chipped in with 10 points and four assists.
The Giants held a 22-15 lead over the Pacers at the end of the first quarter. Keystone got cold shooting as Marywood outscored them 19-4 in the second quarter. Keystone tried to mount a comeback in the second half, but they unfortunately came up short.
Keystone shot 37 percent from the field and had 39 rebounds in the loss.
Keystone will head to Immaculata University on Saturday, Nov. 23 at 1 p.m.
