WASHINGTON, D.C. – After defeating Saint Elizabeth in the first round of playoffs earlier in the week, the Keystone College women's volleyball team took a trip to Washington D.C. to take on No. 1 seed Gallaudet University in the United East quarterfinals. The Giants are coming home with a 3-0 loss, losing to Gallaudet with scores of 25-17, 25-19, and 28-26.
Keystone's Adrianna Derrick (Oklahoma City, Okla./Putnam City) led the team in kills with 10 kills. Sofia Green (Portland, Ore./Mountainside) put up two service aces and four blocks, along with Taylor Howard (Lewisberry, Pa./Red Land) also tallying four blocks. Elise Burk (Paw Paw, Mich./Paw Paw) ended the day with 13 assists, and Catie Woolf (Fremont, Ohio/Saint Joseph Central Catholic) led the team in digs with 17.
For Gallaudet, Brielle Worley led the team offensively with 19 kills against the Giants. Ella Gamble also played a huge role in the team's victory with an amazing 39 assists. Defensively, Jada Zarembka led the Bison with four blocks and Citrine Lummer picked up 14 digs on the night, followed closely by Nicole Hicks with 13.
With this loss, the Giants wrap up the 2024 season with a 20-7 overall record and a 7-3 mark in United East Confernce play.
