READING, Pa.- The Keystone College women's basketball team earned their first conference win of the season as they took down Penn State Berks 79-67 Saturday afternoon.
Four Giants were in double figures as Lisa Star (Wanaque, N.J./Lakeland Regional) had a double-double with 14 points and 13 rebounds while shooting 50 percent in the game. Anyah Ortiz (Reading, Pa./Governor Mifflin) finished with 13 points while Mackenzie Wharton (Annapolis, Md./Broadneck) and Tamari Hubbard (Bronx, N.Y./Mott Haven) combined for 23 points.
Ashlyn Clark led the Nittany Lions with a double-double as she had 19 points and 14 rebounds. Hailey Miller chipped in with 16 points and five boards. Gianna Roberts and Morgan Dunbar both scored eight points. Roberts tallied a game high of four steals in the defeat.
The Giants shot close to 45 percent from the field and 63 percent from the free throw line.
Keystone (4-5, 1-2 United East) will host The City College of New York next Friday, Dec. 13 at 6 p.m.
