PHOENIXVILLE, Pa.- The Keystone College men's basketball team were defeated in their regular season finale to the University of Valley Forge 84-63 Wednesday evening.
Keystone finishes the regular season with a 10-14 record (10-6 United East Skye Division). Valley Forge moves to 5-19 (5-11 United East Skye Division. With the victory tonight, the Patriots clinched the final playoff spot in the Skye Division Tournament.
Jack Anderson (Davie, FL/Western) led Keystone with 23 points and three rebounds. DaShaun Johnson (Montgomery Village, Md./Clarksburg) scored 17 points with three rebounds. Brandon Scott (Cheltenham, Pa./Cheltenham) provided nine points and five rebounds.
Valley Forge's leading scorer was Jeremiah Daye who posted a near double-double with 23 points and eight rebounds. He shot 60 percent in tonight's game. Keyshawn Kennedy scored 22 points with five rebounds. Dashawn Goodine provided 16 points, nine rebounds, and five assists.
Valley Forge held a 36-30 lead over Keystone at the end of the first half. The Patriots offense got hot in the second half as they outscored the Giants, 48-33. Valley Forge posted a 49-36 margin on rebounds.
The Giants are the fourth seed in the conference tournament and will host the No. 5 seed Cairn University on Saturday, Feb. 17 at 1 p.m.
