WILLIAMSPORT, Pa.- The Keystone College men's lacrosse team suffered a 22-9 loss to Penn College Wednesday evening in the United East Conference Semifinals.
With the defeat, Keystone ends the year with a record of 6-10. Penn College improves to 10-8 and will face St. Mary's College of Maryland in the United East Conference Championship on Saturday.
Abe Wallace (Okotoks, Alberta, Canada/Foothills Composite) led Keystone with five goals. Cam Wallace (Okotoks, Alberta, Canada/Foothills Composite), Chris Armas (Vancouver, Wash./Mountain View), Wilson Ingalls (Okotoks, Alberta, Canada/Holy Trinity Academy), and Ryan Smith (Warrington, Pa./Central Bucks South) tallied a goal. Jose Luis Servin (Manassas City, Va./Osbourn) and Nollan Hoffert (Simpsonville, S.C./J.L. Mann) both appeared in goal and combined for 16 saves. Armas, Tyler Shertzer (Palmyra, Pa./Palmyra Area), and Ethan Urbanski (Huntsville, Ontario, Canada/Huntsville) combined for 13 ground balls.
Penn College was led by AJ Dotson who had six goals and three assists. Jake Small and Aidan McFalls tallied a hat trick and two assists.
The Wildcats outshot the Giants, 58-36. They had a 42-34 advantage on ground balls. Keystone had a 61 percent (17-of-28) success rate on clear attempts.
