LA PLUME, Pa. – Keystone and Wilson faced off in a winner's bracket matchup today in the United East Skye Division tournament taking place at Christy Mathewson Field. After scoring 11 runs on 18 hits, the Giants brought home the victory and will be moving on to the finals.
Josh Parks (Maple Valley, Wash./Tahoma) and Justin Mann (St. John's, Fla./Bartram Trail) each led the Giants offensively with three RBI coming off of three hits each. Parks picked up one RBI on a sacrifice fly to left field, one on a single down the right field line, and one on another single to right field. Mann picked up one RBI on a double down the right field line, and two more on a single to right field later in the game.
Brayan Villar (West Orange, N.J./Belleville) started on the mound and picked up with seventh win of the season, moving his season record to 7-0. Villar pitched 6.2 innings and picked up five strikeouts while giving up two earned runs.
What's Next
Keystone will be taking on the Highlanders of Cairn University in the final round of play for the Skye Division title. The championship game is scheduled to start Sunday, May 5th at 10:00 A.M.
